Success Story Of IAS Topper Vishal Saraswat: Your positive attitude is very important to get success in any competition. He fulfilled the dream of civil service in the second attempt due to self-study. Education Background

Saraswat did his post-graduate in Economics and had earlier appeared in PCS (2017), but could not clear prelims. He then appeared in PCS (2018) and was unable to clear the finals. And this time he topped the exam. He also said he had always aimed to be in administrative services. His priority is education and health.

Successful UPSC journey

Vishal Saraswat of Mathura has topped the examination this year. Vishal has achieved success in his second attempt. He appeared for the exam in 2018 but was not able to qualify the interview stage. He belongs to a middle-class family where his father is a priest and his mother is a wife. Vishal’s brother works with ISRO in Bengaluru. Vishal holds a post graduation degree in Economics and always wished to join the administrative services. 

Vishal Saraswat is originally from Mathura in Uttar Pradesh. Vishal decided to prepare for UPSC after post graduation. Expressed confidence in self study

Vishal first understood his syllabus and prepared his study material and started preparing with better strategy. He was unsuccessful in the first attempt, but he did not lose heart and secured rank 1 in the UPPSC 2019 and kept on moving towards his goal. He bravely faced the challenges and achieved the destination by working hard.

Vishal Saraswat’s advice to other candidates

According to Vishal, during UPSC preparation, you should move in the right direction with a better strategy. You can refer to NCERT books to clear your basics. Vishal says that unless you make efforts for it every day, you will not be able to reach your destination. According to him hard work, right strategy, revision, practice of answer writing and positive attitude are necessary for success.
